The topic of this unit overall was to introduce what qualities to look for when nurturing students, as well as what qualities we should strive for as instructors. There was also an emphasis placed on the many different roles as a ESL teacher, and that we should strive for a relative balance between all the roles rather than using any single method.
I feel that I have been able to identify which of the roles I generally tend to operate in (Manager), but have been inspired to broaden my horizons and try to add the other roles into my repertoire in order to achieve a greater degree of balance.
