A good and prepared lesson plan can make or break a class depending on the teacher’s experience and goals, but one must remember that a lesson plan, although structured seriously, should not be an inflexible plan. Lesson plans must give room for flexibility to allow room for teaching new unplanned material and correcting students’ mistakes based on each class. The key items that should be considered and included when creating a lesson plan are learner objectives, personal aims, language points, teaching aids, anticipated problems of students and teacher, procedure, phase, timing, interaction, class level, number of students, date, time, and even possibly names of teachers or observers who may monitor the class.
