This is a good way to break down the different tenses of past, present and future in order to help students learn the subtleties of the English language. Instead of teaching them all of past, present and future and once, it is a good idea to focus on one tense at a time and teach them the forms of that. This will help them be more comfortable with each tense and help them not to get overwhelmed with learning them at once.
