This unit covered the ways we use past tense in the English language. This section went over past simple, past continuous, past perfect, and past perfect continuous. As a native English speaker, I never thought about why we say things like "I had been shopping" and different times than "I shopped." This part of the course made it much clearer to me that different parts of the past tense refer to how we discuss things that happened within a certain timeline.
