This unit was greatly educational in more ways than one. First of all, it helped me understand the reasons behind each technique used while teaching and now I can better plan my lessons, especially with the help of Engage, Study and Activate method.
The way I see it, all the methods described in this unit has its part to play in teaching not only teaching English but any other foreign language. Although communicative approach is more commonly used because it provides more comfortable setup for the learner, drilling, translation and other approaches have their own use and necessary at times.
