This unit was really interesting because it gave me a chance to look over fully planned-out lessons, which gave me a great opportunity to see what an actual ESA lesson can look like. I felt that it was good to run through an entire lesson after studying the structure and logic of an ESA lesson as it really tied everything together. Explaining the benefits of lesson planning was another thing I thought was really important. I always assumed that it was vital to plan out every part of the lesson to avoid instances where you run out of things to do. However, now I understand that flexibility and not being too rigid is extremely important, especially when working with students who may be confused, bored, distracted, or not really in the classroom 'mood.' The way I like to think of it is that it is important to be able to "flow."
