This unit provided a great overview of what resources and materials that can be used in the ESL classroom and understanding how to go about using those more capably and in ways that would be beneficial. It was good understanding the use of authentic and non authentic(created) texts and how to keep and maintain a balance in having both. Also it was especially beneficial to understand how to better use a coursebook and to see its advantages and disadvantages, and learn some of the things a teacher should add or be aware of with coursebook teaching so as to be able to further and properly enrich the learning and keep student motivation higher than would it would be just teaching a rigid syllabus from a book.
