Planning lessons is valuable for a teacher. It doesn’t mean that you need to stick to the plan and be strict with it. Otherwise, a teacher should be able to change and adapt his plan at anytime during the lesson to make it appropriate for students and a particular situation. On the other side a teacher needs to know what to do in the lesson, be well-prepared with the materials and teaching aids and be ready to solve some difficult points that can appear in the classroom. When planning a lesson it’s useful to try to predict the number of students, timing of the activities, possible questions, etc. Having a few spare tasks is also useful. However, if any corrections appear in the lesson, a teacher should take some notes about them and write comments to make it easier to deal with in the future.
