In this unit I have learned about different methodologies in English teaching language. For example: Grammar translation, Audio lingualism, PPP, Task-Based learning, Communicative Language Teaching, Community Language Learning, The silent way, Suggestopaedia, The Lexical approach. All of the methodologies are good teacher should decide by his own which one to choose. Also I have discovered Engage, Study and Activate lesson. There are three stages: Engage Stage: the main aim is to have high student talk with everyone contributing. Second stage is Study: during this stage students should be learning new English language concepts. And the third one is Activate Stage: during this stage you are trying to encourage your students to be creative with the English language knowledge they already have and combine it with what they have just learnt. Here can be some dialogues, debates and discussions. Activities will help keep students fresh and stimulated. Also I have learned about Correction Techniques. It is very important to praise the students that they would have motivation to learn language. Correction was made because of student believes what he or she is saying is correct, they don't know correct form, they know correct form but can not get it right. Corrections can be three types of: self correction, student-student correction, teacher-student correction.
