It is amazing that we speak using phonetics, but that it is such a complex overall topic. It is layered with a lot of challenges underlying. Intonation is more difficult than I originally thought considering that there is so much more to it, and so many ways to teach and understand it. Stressing syllables is a fun concept, and one that is easier to learn than some others. It seems obvious that the same sentence can be said multiple ways with multiple meanings, and teaching it may pose difficulty, but a student with dedication and motivation should do fine with both that and intonation.
