I have learnt usages of the various forms of the tenses as presented by the unit. Before reading through this unit, I knew the various forms of the tenses, but the usages were not clear.
With the completion of the unit, I now have a better grasp of how to teach students the various tenses; though I will have to revise certain portions of the unit to refresh my memory.
With regards to present perfect and present perfect continuous tenses, occasionally it is quite hard to explain the reason for the usage. Present simple, past and continuous are not a problem; however when it comes to examples like this:
I have lived in Singapore for eight years. - the preposition comes into play as well.
I haven't gone to Japan. - the conversion of "go" to "gone" will also need to be explained.
Otherwise, the other parts are quite straightforward.
