This unit covers parts of speech and their classifications. All parts of speech can be divided into eight groups (nouns, adjectives, articles, verbs, adverbs, gerunds, pronouns, prepositions, and conjunctions.), which then can be divided into types of their own. It is important for a teacher to not only use the language fluently but also comprehend the core of it. It will be easier to explain how English works if we know what it consists of. In addition, it will be easier for our student to learn the language if they know what exactly they are dealing with. Besides, one cannot understand the grammar and its rules without knowing parts of speech. And one cannot properly use the language without knowing anything about the sentence and its components.
