Unit 13 dwells on the rudiments of teaching pronunciation and phonology. I have learned in this unit that teaching intonation, stress and rhythm is quite complicated, hence EFL teachers must master the different patterns of intonation as well as the rules about word stress. Aside from revisiting the 42 phonemic symbols, I have also relearned the different places and manners of articulation. Finally, I have realized that teaching pronunciation and phonology requires patience and mastery of the effective pedagogical techniques.
