In this unit I have learned characteristic of good teacher and good learner, roles of teacher, which factors are important about learners, characteristic of language levels, reasons for attending English classes. A good teacher should be kind, patient, love teaching, lively, active, able to motivate learners, should have a good knowledge of subject, good communicational skills. Good learners should have motivation to study English, a willingness to ask questions, hardworking and patient. There are roles of teacher in the classroom: manager, organizer, prompter, tutor, assessor, participant, model, resource and monitor. Important point that teacher can switch between these roles. Factors which are important about learners are age, learning experience, motivation, behavior (discipline), life experience, culture. All these factors help to understand students and to build good communication with them. There are different language levels: beginners, elementary, low pre-intermediate, intermediate, upper intermediate, advanced. Here is next reasons for attending English classes: for the job, for education, for tourism, desire to move to the English speaking country, out of interest in language, to communicate with foreigner relatives, friends, partners. Teacher is responsible to build lesson in creative, interesting and useful way to maintain motivation.
