In this Unit I have learned Classroom Management. Classroom Management is the skill of organising and managing the class, skill which is needed to create a good friendly atmosphere and maintaining discipline. Eye contact, gesture and the voice play big role. Good eye contact in the classroom is essential to establishing good rapport with the students. Good use of gestures can be effective and useful in the convey the meaning of language, manage the class, to increase the pace of the lesson. The voice is also very important. The voice of teacher must be clarity, range, variety or projection, confident. More variation of the voice more effectiveness it gives.
Also it is important to use students' names then there is better connection between students and teachers. Grouping students is also important part of the lesson. There are some kind of grouping in the class: whole-class grouping, students work on their own, pairwork and groupwork.
Classroom arrangement is important part of class work which depends on the space available, type of chairs, age of students, nationality, student personality. Writing on the board is also important part of the work out in the class. Teacher should show his or her back to the students as less as possible. There are some ways how to reduce the amount of time you spend with your back to the class:
to use an overhead projector if possible, use cards with vocabulary, prepare board work before the class starts and if you don't wanna students see it immediately just cover it with a sheet of paper until it's needed.
