Unit 7 teaches us about the 3 main objects of language learning: vocabulary, grammar and language functions. It says that grammar needs to be the fundamental part of any language learning, and that vocabulary and everything else are the "decoration" which makes the new language "blossom" and make sense. I found the lesson plan examples to be very useful and insightful; it helps to understand which ESA structure is suitable for which learning process (grammar, vocabulary or functionality).
