Recently there has been more of an emphasis on teaching English writing skills to my elementary students. Though I don't think that they have quite enough skills to have a whole ESA style lesson on it, I think that incorporating a game that requires them to practice some writing (like simple words, their names, or the alphabet) could help them get practice in spelling and handwriting at least. From this unit, I learned that one of the most important parts of eliciting speaking and writing from students is to give them some sort of motivation to do so.
