In this unit, it looked at the variety of materials that teachers can use to aid their students’ progress in the classroom. It was interesting to learn the differences between authentic and created materials. In particular how the authentic materials can help motivate the student if they will need to use it sometime in the the near future. Created materials are a great way to supplement or replace materials of a textbook which is a way to use course books effectively. As a new teacher in training, these definitions and exemplars of using these materials were very helpful in knowing how to make the best of hte the teaching situation for the students.
