Here Below you can check out the feedback (for one of our units) of one of the 16.000 students that last year took an online course with ITTT!

In this unit I learned about the various equipment and teaching aids available to ESL teachers and students. First off, the interactive whiteboard. Interactive whiteboards (IWBs) are becoming ever more popular in classrooms worldwide, despite the potentially high cost. IWBs vary in complexity and operate on a number of different technologies. However, all IWBs must be connected to a computer or laptop. Using an IWB effectively requires some teacher training to be familiar with all the functions and ensure smooth operation. Second, overhead projectors (OHPs). OHPs are an alternative to boards and are useful for showing pre-prepared overhead transparencies (OHTs). One downside, however, is that OHPs can be complicated to set up. Next, visual aids like real objects, pictures, and photos can be good option for teachers because they can heighten student interest, stimulate discussion, and get students talking. Cassette recorders and CD players can be used by the teacher. Blank cassettes can be used to record authentic materials or to record the students themselves. CDs have largely replaced cassettes in recent years. Videos and DVDs can often be used in the classroom to stimulate discussion and for communicative activities. Through videos and DVDs, students can see as well as hear. This has the effect of making the lesson easier to understand and better holds the students' attention. A video camera can also be very useful in the classroom. Students can be recorded doing an activity and then played back to them for analysis and discussion. Probably the single most useful tool available to students is the dictionary. Dictionaries help students look up the meaning, pronunciation, and usage of a word. Teachers should encourage the use of English dictionaries that are clearly presented, that have example sentences and definitions the students can easily understand. And finally I learned that there are numerous resource books available as well as countless online resources, through use of a computer, that can help students interact and learn the English language more effectively.
