Like in unit 4, I learned a lot about the different usages and forms of past tense sentences. After I had reviewed the present tense structures, learning the past sentence ones and the differences between the was not as difficult because they are very similar in structure. I learned that there are only subtle differences between the two. What I got most out of this unit was the sample activate stage ideas for using past tense. These will come in handy when I need to teach past tense during my classes.
