In this unit I learnt about productive skills and the importance of both fluency and accuracy in learning a new language. I have looked at why people communicate and how as a teacher I need to incorporate these reasons in my lesson so as to boost morale in students. Also I have learnt that in my teaching and using activities I must include controlled, guided and creative activities .I have about why students don’t speak in class and how I can encourage them to improve participation. Finally, this unit has also talked about the importance of writing skills including punctuation, handwriting, spellings and creative writing. It has also talked about practical ESA phases that I can use for effective teaching.
