Unit Six continues the examination of verb conjugation with a focus on past tenses, similar to the structure of present tenses but relating to past time periods. One of the difficulties in explaining these word structures and usages to an English learner may well turn out to be that, as one who learned English as my primary language in a household where it was spoken correctly, I now find myself verbalizing a particular past tense usage and then analyzing how I did it in order to describe that past tense usage. This is a fairly convoluted process; it seems to work, but I'm trying to get beyond it.
