Unit one was based on getting to know all the qualities , roles and responsibilities of both teachers and students in the classroom. It is important to know how a 'good' teacher should think and act in class, and what major roles she has. Each teacher's quality influences students differently in positive ways, therefore a teacher must have a couple of very good qualities that are key to the students performance and learning. Roles are equally important, a teacher must know, depending on the activity, which role to lead and how to switch from a 'student-centered' environment to a 'teacher-centered' environment in the classroom. Teachers who have a good knowledge and experience on leading the class regarding their different roles can achieve optimum results in teaching and a pleasant learning experience for their students. Furthermore, students have their own qualities that make them either 'good' or 'bad' learners, each student has his/her own past experiences and fixed expectations, depending on their age. Both young learners and adults have some challenges in learning, as well as some benefits. The teacher must know in which stage of learning or psychological development her students are in order to be able to help them and guide them, and to provide the necessary support and encouragement for motivation. The lessons have to vary and to be entertaining for both the teachers and the students, both young learners and adults benefit majorly when they experience a pleasant atmosphere and environment in class. Teachers must help without discouraging learners or taking away their initiative. A great sense of sensitive by the teacher is requires under all circumstances. Learning a foreign language should be entertaining and smooth , and should not be considered in any way a chore or an obligation by the learners. The knowledge of a foreign language can open up many doors for everyone.
