This unit helped me understand the roles of the teacher and students in the classroom better. It helped me envision on how I would want to run my class in the future and some ideas as to how best approach learners in varying levels. It also gave information on the language level of learners which I find necessary in order to be able to prepare activities suited for the students. The comparison with the European Framework was also interesting.
This unit further strengthens my belief that motivation plays a great part in helping students to learn. As a teacher, I must be able to nurture my highly motivated students to be able to successfully help them in their language learning journey. Also, I must be able to find ways to excite my less motivated students so that they may be able to reach their full potential in terms of language learning.
