This unit discusses the different groups of students you may handle in teaching English. For each group, it provided tips, suggestions for teaching strategies and activities and some things to avoid when teaching certain groups. This unit reiterated some of the important things discussed in Unit 1. The advices outlined in this unit will help me create a lesson that will cater to the needs depending on which group I teach. The activities suggested will also be helpful as plan B activities in case the initial activity goes awry. I find that having a list of suggested activities that I assumed are tried and tested is quite comforting. This helps me gauge how much I can try doing out of the box activities and will give me a lot of flexibility in terms of planning my lessons.
