It is important to know the method of teaching as different students has different potential of learning a language and if we as teacher understands the students and provide the correct method to teach, it will keep the students interest in the language and the willingness to learn. On the other hand, I have learnt that engaging a student to learn language, I have to allow the students to think and speak in English as much as possible. As for study, is much more of a theory and many student these days are not interested however, I think it is important for them to understand and learn the proper grammar and to phrase sentences. It will help them when they are out in the working society in the future as English is an international language. Activate is a type of activity whereby students are allow to use language as freely as possible with no restrictions and this focuses more on fluency. It is important for students to speak fluently in a language in order to communicate and even if it is not fluent, student will be able to learn from other people as they speak.
Creating various activities will keep student interested and they will not get bored easily on the language. And to also give feedback or correction after the activity. Reason being, if we were to correct the students on the spot they will not be able to focus and they will feel demotivated. It is very important to bear that in my mind.
