This lesson is stated in the course notes to present two ESA videos to showing differing levels of effectiveness. Whereas it is clear that the second lesson is certainly more effective, and allows for much more Student Talking Time, it is actually hard to see a clear ESA in the first lesson. For me this is largely due to the agitated and distracting nature of the way the teacher presents his class. In response to what I have learnt, it is quite clear that engaging and motivating students in a positive atmosphere is the way to go. However, I feel the needs of Task 4, meant there were some sacrifices made in lesson 2. I am surprised at choice 4 in question 1. What is meant by the following statement : "The students MORE participate effectively in the second lesson than the first". If we place "more" after the verb, it makes sense. I am surprised this kind of error can creep into the course material. Question 8 may benefit from some rewording. Answer 1 may represent the situation, however I would rather reword this to capture the appropriate level as being based on the class level. As a general comment for review, the videos do not allow fast forward, rewind or pause of playback. I am using an iPad. I would suggest this is addressed to provide an enhanced learning experience. By the way, it is NOT possible to download the videos on my iPad! This would probably have resolved the issue
