In the past, a pastime of mine had been, to remark in passing on the usage of past tense, and give it a passing grade, or pass it off as just another passing fancy. But then the past caught up with me, and I saw past my previous pastime as a thing of the past, and so, as a gesture of passing time, I bought a Passat.
The unit was another delightful review of grammar, which is something everyone needs, but that no one wants, like tough life lessons or rubella vaccinations. Again, nothing new or really forgotten from days of old, and again, it reminded me of Latin class. Veni, vidi, vici. That’s past tense.
