This unit discusses the basic framework that makes up a successful teacher and student. The teacher's roles and styles of educating are broken down all the way from leading a lesson (manager) to joining in on an activity (participant). The student's motivation for joining the class are discussed and we are reminded that cultural differences will play into how we learn and teach. The student's motivation and willingness to listen and ask questions will play a large factor into how successful the class will be for the student. The teacher must keep in mind that not everyone may join the class at the same level of language knowledge and past experiences may also hinder or help the learning process.
