Unit 14 gives examples of the advantages and disadvantages of using different kinds of course books and material. It outlines the two different kinds of class material, authentic and created, that a teacher can use and why they are both effective in the classroom. The unit then goes over the advantages and disadvantages of using a course book and how a teacher can use a course book the most effectively. What I have taken away from this unit is that as a teacher you need to be able to take advantage of all materials at your disposal. The teacher also needs to be able to adapt said material for each classes level.
