This lesson explains the three different past tenses and their usage. There is past simple, past continuous, past perfect, and past perfect continuous. Again, I find it so interesting that having forgotten the terminology and the rules, I and other native speakers have no trouble using the correct past tense for any situation. These units are making me have a better understanding of the complexities of learning a new lesson. I am also beginning to see how much easier it is to learn, for instance, one Romantic language when you already speak one than gong to a language that is structurally very different. I always thought English would be easy because it has no masculine or feminine articles, but now I see that was way off base.
