This unit focused on the role and creation of a lesson plan. The chapter began by outlining the importance of lesson plans (especially for inexperienced instructors) followed by the elements that a lesson plan should generally include. A specific lesson plan was given as an example, together with explanations as to the significance of each sub section. The majority of the unit then showed example tasks and task sheets that could serve as guides for activities and lessons in the classroom.
The most challenging part of this lesson will surely not be memorizing what a lesson plan looks like or the specific points to cover but actually executing a real lesson plan in class. Knowing how to balance flexibility and reactivity with structure and achieving students' daily language goals will be essential.
