In this complex unit I learned about pronunciation and phonology. Phonology is defined as the study, science, analysis, and classification of the physical properties of sound. Intonation and stress are important parts of phonology. Intonation is the variation in volume and pitch within a sentence and stress is more concerned with individual words. Phonology also teaches us about phonetic symbols and articulation which is where and how the sounds are formed anatomically.
