The unit was eye opening as there was there where videos on a class setup with two setups where the teacher and students were acting differently in each video.Looking at the first video I saw how the teacher was going through the lesson in a way where he was totally controlling the lesson and being very vocal which led the students to be intimidated and withdrew from the lesson and had little input in fear of not being sure or being wrong. I also learnt that it is good to be as friendly as possible with the students for them to be comfortable in the lesson and getting them to talk as much as possible .The first video helped so I see that I have to explain as much as possible to help the students understand even when it comes to classwork or when giving them a class activity. The second video I feel I gained a lot from it as I enjoyed how the teacher carried it out from the beginning as he introduced himself asked the students their names as to get them comfortable as much as possible and relate with them on a first name basis.He spoke clearly and slowly and tried as hard as he could to get the attention of the students and used acton and objects for them to see and relate to certain situation he was trying to talk about e.g a plat and use of money. The lesson in the second video had a simple flow but was very understandable for the students which helped them to participate more throughout the whole lesson. The teacher monitored the students well without spoon feeding but being available when needed in the activities which helped me to see how best to do it. Both videos showed me what not to do and what to do when teaching so as to get the best results from the students and what i expect at the end of a lesson as a teacher.
