Unit eight covered the numerous future tenses--future simple, future continuous, future perfect, future perfect continuous, to be going + infinitive, as well as present simple and present continuous-- and their usages. They are similar to their present tense forms but use 'will', will be having, will have been, or other markers to indicate that it is a future tense. Future tenses also include simple present and present continuous which usually have a phrase to go with them that indicates that the action that is one that is going to happen in the future. Many of the teaching methods involve making plans or predictions as ways for students to learn how to use and practice these tenses. When errors or mistakes are made, it is often because the learner either left out a part of the verb phrase or because they added a verb that was unnecessary to that tense.
