As a non-native English speaker, I have learned a great understanding about the teaching English as a second language. I have learned various teaching skills which I believe can be applied to all areas of my expertise in the future and not just restricted to teaching English. This course has improved my knowledge and skills in the classroom especially in what makes a good teacher, the role of a teacher, managing classroom settings, teaching aids & techniques and above all, the professional ESA lesson plan. Most of all, I gained in-depth the effective method of testing and evaluating students of all levels. I have less experience in teaching young children but I believed that what I learnt from this course would largely motivate me to handle learners of all level at ease. Provided suitable games at various lesson stages would be used to keep my future students focused and attentive in class. The materials used throughout this course are recommendable and can be used as a helpful reference at any point in time in my teaching career. Over all I can say that the course was very well structured and covered any areas which are necessary to enter a classroom with the confidence to begin teaching right from the get-go especially for a beginner teacher like me.
