This unit discussed a brief overview of some considerations about teachers and learners in an ESL classroom. We learned about the different roles of the teacher, some qualities of a good teacher, the different considerations of a good learner, what motivates them, and the different levels of English learners.
What helped me most was developing my understanding of the different roles of a teacher. Having taught for 2 years now, I have acted in most if not all of the roles, but it's enlightening to know the intricacies and transitions of each role.
The small portion on levels of English learners was also helpful, but I wish it would have gone into more detail about how to work with students at each level.
