This lesson teaches us about the importance of attitude and rapport in the classroom. If we don't take the time to show our best attitude and build the best rapport with our students then the lesson material may be useless. The students in the class are eager to learn in both lessons, but the way that the lessons are taught affects how much they are able to learn and whether they will be able to hold onto the information as well. On top of this, I learned how important praise and understanding are in the classroom and how we shouldn't always immediately correct grammar mistakes. The teacher in the second lesson is much more effective at getting the students to engage with him and each other by praising them when they are correct and using looks and slight correcting questions to get the students back on the right track with the target language skills.
