This lesson describes the most important aspects in the relationship between teachers and learners, such as: the qualities that ¨good¨ teachers are considered to have, the roles they can employ in their lessons, the qualities of ¨good¨ learners, the differences between adults and young learners and their motivation to study English. It also describes the most common levels of English according to the students’ abilities and their equivalence in the European Common Framework.
I think all of the aspects explained in this lesson are very important for us as teachers, from the roles we can take in our lessons –which can make our teaching strategies more effective and improve the students understanding- to how important it is to consider the advantages and difficulties teachers/students can face when teaching/learning different levels of English. All of them can make important differences on how we should approach the learning process of our students, by focusing on their needs while making our lessons more complete and engaging.
