A teacher should care about their personality and relationship with students.There are many different roles a teacher plays, depending on the type of activity. The teacher needs to adapt and be flexible with the role the use to be most effective. Manager/controller, organizer, assessor, prompter, participant, tutor, resource/facilitator, model and an observer/monitor are the types of teacher roles. A good learner is a student that listens, experiments, asks questions, has a desire to learn and has an acceptance of error correction and its the teachers responsibility to encourage and foster these attributes in the classroom. Adults have different learning experiences, motivation, nervousness, language awareness, behaviour problems, life experiences, language levels and first languages than young learners. Students language levels vary and the Common European Framework recently established by the Council of Europe created 6 levels. In addition, students have many motivations to learn and improve their English; these are to travel, increase career prospects, improve grades, to communicate with other English speaking people and they are interested in the language.
