This was the most challenging of all of the grammar-focused units and took some time to complete. In regards to conditional statements, I am sympathetic to the fact presented on page 2 that many students have some trouble distinguishing between zero conditional and first conditional phrases. It took me a few times rereading both passages to get an understanding of it. I think the exercises presented in the unit regarding this, particularly the split sentences and chain conditionals, seem like they could be extremely useful ways to help students get a grasp on this topic. I also found the reported speech to direct speech portion of the unit to be rather challenging in my first read to get a hang of.
