They can all help with guiding the general flow of the lesson. IWBs and OHPs are a little better in that the teacher can prepare everything before the class rather than writing it during class. Other materials that can aid teaching include CD/DVD/Videos, visual aid, etc. These sources can help provide a visual and contextual background or a real-life/authentic clip of the learning material. Teachers can also plan activities around these. Other sources such as dictionaries, computers, online resources are more external resources that allow for research and communication both in and outside of class. The classroom equipment may aid teachers but it is important to use in moderation as each has their own advantages and disadvantages.
