There may be many problems that arise in classes both from individual students or from the environment or both. It is the teacher's job to anticipate and to avoid or resolve them to the best of their ability. Starting from the first lesson, it is better to warm up the class with ice-breakers such as a ball-passing game or questionnaire/survey to help build rapport to allow for better future interactions. It is also the same at the beginning of the lessons. Begin motivating at the beginning by introducing something fun and interesting will help the students to get in the mood to learn rather than being bored. Students sometimes may be reluctant to respond to a question or such. The teachers should encourage this by allowing more pair-work to increase inter-student conversation and also allowing the students enough time to think about a question. As a class, sometimes there may be different skill levels. It is for the teacher to decide what will be the best course of action whether it be pairing strong to weak or dividing into two groups, or even mixing it up depending on the task. Similarly, with larger courses where it is harder to monitor individual students, it may be better to utilize worksheets and pair/group work and activities. It is always important to encourage the use of English in the classroom and avoid using the native tongue. This can be encouraged by dealing with difficult vocabulary beforehand, responding only to English, constantly reminding them. Most importantly, make sure that the activity is on the appropriate level. There are many things for the teacher to consider and be aware of in the classroom, beyond just the grammar and vocabulary, but also of the students, of themselves, and of the language.
