Unit 6 reinforced my observation of the principles and features of the present tense and past tense of the verb which are similar. The similarity in usage and form emerging between the tenses makes it easier to teach them since the teacher can build up on the students’ previous knowledge on these principles and features of the tenses. The similarity also enables students to recall more easily the rules pertaining to proper use of the tenses.
