I learned from this unit of course books and lesson materials the advantages and disadvantages of the material in planning the lessons. The fact the authentic material is not appropriate for beginners yet can be used in certain ways to add into the lesson, I agree as per mentioned in the unit. The materials created compared to the course books will always be more relevant to the students because as mentioned in this unit the course book is done for a general crowd. The websites helps to create working classroom material. The unit covers the course book in depth for guidance which I find good to know there is a teacher's guide as a new or old teacher that is always good to have. I also recommend dictionaries as teacher supplement aid, the teacher can always omit, replace and adapt of course apart from using supplement materials from course book.
