I have learned the different classifications of grammar - parts of speech to be able to recognize in a sentence. I have learned in nouns is used to name people, animals, places, things, qualities, and states. There is a separate classification for the main types of nouns which are common, proper, compound, abstract and collective. There are plurals. countable and uncountable nouns. The adjectives also have different parts to it. The adjectives are classified to have a basic rule to follow that is size, age, color, material, noun. More simple there are comparisons (comparatives) and comparisons (superlative). I've learned that articles; two types of articles in English are definite (the) and indefinite (a and an). Verbs, which can be used as transitive or intransitive. Infinitive verbs carry to before the verb. I am able to clearly identify that the auxiliary verbs, the three of them, do, have and be can be conjugated into tense to actually form a better sentence. Adverbs help in general with meaning description. Gerunds are verbs used as a noun. There are four types of pronouns: personal, possessive, reflexive and relative. Prepositions used for the time, movement and place. Conjunctions join words or groups in a sentence.
