This lesson went over speaking and writing skills. It is important to go over speaking skills so that students learn to speak with fluency and accuracy. Teaching them through controlled activities, guided activities, and creative communication will help them achieve the goal of accuracy and fluency. The second part of the lesson regarded writing skills. Spelling, layout, and punctuation are the most important aspects of writing for new students of English. English is a complicated language to learn when writing due to some words looking the same or sounding the same, yet having different meanings or pronunciation. Practice and repetition are the primary ways for students to gain an understanding of written English.
