The future is always brighter. There is a lot to take in in regards to teaching the future, which in itself sounds a bit weird. I really appreciated the inclusion of the present simple and present continuous tenses in the discussion on the future. Often times the future is reduced to the use of "will" and thus it is misleading and oversimplified. But as this unit illustrates, the future is complex. I enjoyed the teaching ideas for each future tense. they were creative and also very thought-provoking. The inclusion of the palm reading or fortune telling paradigm and pretending to win the lottery was just two of my favorite ways of exposing and teaching the future tense. I can see that the future tense will be a fun discussion and offers an array of opportunities that seems inclusive of a variety of games and role-playing devises.
