In unit 3, I learned about the different methods and techniques for teaching English. There are many different methods for teaching a foreign language, each with its own advantages and disadvantages. Choosing the best method for teaching will depend on the circumstances of the class.
The Engage, Study, and Activate approach helps students stay motivated to learn. The Engage stage is to get the students interested in the lesson and to start thinking in English. The Study stage is where the students focus on the correct usage of the English language. The Activate stage is where students are encouraged to communicate as much as possible.
Correcting student errors should be done carefully so that the students don’t get discouraged. It is important that the students try to use as much English as possible.
