This unit discusses several grammar points. The first topic is modal verbs such as can, could, would, must and will. They are used to give special meanings to the main verb. The second point is active and passive voices. Active voice is where the subject is the actor of the verb. Passive voice is when the subject is being acted on. The third part of the lesson is relative clauses. These are additional information clauses that are either essential to the meaning or give non-essential data. The last part lists the three types of phrasal verbs : intransitive, transitive separable and transitive inseparable.
